Nairobi National Park

February 27, 2013

Before leaving Africa, we spent the afternoon at Nairobi National Park, famous for its photos of giraffes, zebras, and other animals silhouetted against the Nairobi skyscrapers. We visited the site where Kenya President Daniel arap Moi burned 12 tons of ivory in 1989 inside the park to protest both the illegal ivory trade and animal poaching. Sadly this was our last day in Africa.
